Happy April! No, this post is not an April Fool's joke, (I dispise the holdiay anyways). These 5 awesome books are all coming this month!
1. The Upside of Unrequited.

Pop! Goes the Reader.

Becky Albertalli
April 11th
Why I chose it: Albertalli is the author of Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda, which is one of my favorite LGBT books.
Goodreads Description:
Seventeen-year-old Molly Peskin-Suso knows all about unrequited love. No matter how many times her twin sister, Cassie, tells her to woman up, Molly can’t stomach the idea of rejection. So she’s careful. Fat girls always have to be careful.
Then a cute new girl enters Cassie’s orbit, and for the first time ever, Molly’s cynical twin is a lovesick mess. Meanwhile, Molly's totally not dying of loneliness—except for the part where she is. Luckily, Cassie's new girlfriend comes with a cute hipster-boy sidekick. If Molly can win him over, she'll get her first kiss and she'll get her twin back.
There's only one problem: Molly's coworker, Reid. He's a chubby Tolkien superfan with a season pass to the Ren Faire, and there's absolutely no way Molly could fall for him.
Right?
2. The Road to Jonestown.

Jeff Guinn
April 11th
Why I chose it: I have personally read an advance reader's copy of this book from NetGalley, and overall the book is good. I have always really been interested in true crime and killers, and the story of Jonestown and the People's Temple is mindblowing. While I was reading it I had to remind myself that these events actually happened, because they are that crazy. If you're into cults and weird stuff like this, definatley give this a read!
3. The Whole Thing Together

Ann Brashares
April 25th
Why I chose it: This book is by the same author who wrote the Series of the Traveling Pants, which was one of my favorite books as a middle schooler.
Goodreads Description: Summer for Sasha and Ray means the sprawling old house on Long Island. Since they were children, they’ve shared almost everything—reading the same books, running down the same sandy footpaths to the beach, eating peaches from the same market, laughing around the same sun-soaked dining table. Even sleeping in the same bed, on the very same worn cotton sheets. But they’ve never met.
Sasha’s dad was once married to Ray’s mom, and together they had three daughters: Emma, the perfectionist; Mattie, the beauty; and Quinn, the favorite. But the marriage crumbled and the bitterness lingered. Now there are two new families—and neither one will give up the beach house that holds the memories, happy and sad, of summers past.
4. Alex and Eliza.

April 11th
Why I chose it: I love the musical hamilton, and while the musical protrays their love story as heartwrenching, I really am interesting in learning more about it.
Goodreads Description:1777. Albany, New York.
As battle cries of the American Revolution echo in the distance, servants flutter about preparing for one of New York society’s biggest events: the Schuylers’ grand ball. Descended from two of the oldest and most distinguished bloodlines in New York, the Schuylers are proud to be one of their fledgling country’s founding families, and even prouder still of their three daughters—Angelica, with her razor-sharp wit; Peggy, with her dazzling looks; and Eliza, whose beauty and charm rival that of both her sisters, though she’d rather be aiding the colonists’ cause than dressing up for some silly ball. Still, she can barely contain her excitement when she hears of the arrival of one Alexander Hamilton, a mysterious, rakish young colonel and General George Washington’s right-hand man. Though Alex has arrived as the bearer of bad news for the Schuylers, he can’t believe his luck—as an orphan, and a bastard one at that—to be in such esteemed company. And when Alex and Eliza meet that fateful night, so begins an epic love story that would forever change the course of American history.

Mindy Mcginnis
April 11th.
Why I chose it: The description on Goodreads made it sound amazing and I just thought it would be a good read.
Goodreads Description: Khosa is Given to the Sea, a girl born to be fed to the water, her flesh preventing a wave like the one that destroyed the Kingdom of Stille in days of old. But before she’s allowed to dance – an uncontrollable twitching of the limbs that will carry her to the shore in a frenzy – she must produce an heir. Yet the thought of human touch sends shudders down her spine that not even the sound of the tide can match.
Vincent is third in line to inherit his throne, royalty in a kingdom where the old linger and the young inherit only boredom. When Khosa arrives without an heir he knows his father will ensure she fulfills her duty, at whatever cost. Torn between protecting the throne he will someday fill, and the girl whose fate is tied to its very existence, Vincent’s loyalty is at odds with his heart.
