Glass Sword (4/5)
Glass Sword
Victoria Aveyard
Glass Sword is the sequel to Red Queen, where Mare Barrow has just been betrayed by her friend and betrothed, King Maven. Mare is on the hunt, looking for more people like her, a mix of red and silver. She is joined by the scarlet guard and Cal, but Mare feels as if she still can't trust anyone.
This was a great sequel. The pace of the book is very fast, but then it gets slower as the book goes on. The pace of Red Queen was a lot more enjoyable, but this book was still nice. It's a great sequel in that it satisfys a lot of feelings and questions from Red Queen, but it makes more to be desired from a third book. This series keeps stressing "Anyone can betray anyone" which makes me not trust anyone and honestly gives me anxiety :)
I gave this book 4/5 stars. It's a great sequel and it you like Red Queen you will love Glass Sword.
